Premium/386 Motherboard AST Part Number 202184-001

The motherboard in the Premium/386 machine implements a 20MHz 80386 processor,
and supports the use of a 20MHz 80387 or an 8MHz 80287 math co-processor.
There are seven expansion slots on this system board: a 32-bit slot dedicated
for the RamCard/386 (AST Part Number 202183-001); two standard 8-bit slots;
one standard 16-bit slot; and three AST SMARTslots. The SMARTslots are 16-bit
bus connections with additional contacts that allow for the design of
multi-master hardware. With the exception of the RanCard connection, all of
the bus slots will accept 8-bit adapters. The bus runs at an industry
standard 8MHz/1 wait state. This system board includes two serial ports, one
parallel port, and floppy control for up to three drives as standard features.

JUMPERS

All of the jumpers are manufacturer's test points. To ensure proper
operation, they should always be set as follows:

        E1 - CLOSED
        E2 - CLOSED
        E3 - CLOSED
        E4 - OPEN
        E5 - CLOSED
        E6 - OPEN

CONNECTORS

    P2 - Second Serial Port
    P3 - A:/B: Floppy Drive Interface
P4 - Third Floppy Drive Interface
    P5 - LED/Reset/Keyboard Lock
    P6 - Speaker
    P7 - Power Supply
    P8 - CMOS Battery
