AST's Rampage boards are full-featured, memory/multifunction boards offering
unprecedented performance and flexibility for all of your memory needs.

Rampage boards implement the key features of EMS 4.0, such as multiple mapping
registers and DMA, in hardware. Their performance in multitaskig operations is
superior to typical single-register expanded memory boards. Single-register
boards must use slow software emulation to achieve EMS 4.0 functionality.

Flexible Memory Fits Every Needs

As expanded memory boards, Rampage boards fully support Version 4.0 ofthe
Expanded Memory Specification (EMS 4.0) allowing you to fully utilize oper-
ating environments written for expanded memory, such as DESQview version 2.0.

As extended memory boards, Rampage boards are fully compatible with protected
mode software, such as OS/2 and Window 3.0. Also, extended memory can be used
to create RAM disks and print buffers.

RampagePlus 286

This product was voted the memory/multifunction board of 1988 by InfoWorld
magazine readers. RampagePlus 286 offers up to 8 MB of EMS 4.0, EMS 3.2 or
extended memory for 286- or 386SX-based ISA computers.

For MS-DOS(R), OS/2(R) or UNIX/XENIX, you can't find a more powerful
AT(R)-compatible memory board. True EMS 4.0 functionality is provided in
hardware to get the best possible performance in multitasking environments. An
optional piggyback board with a parallel and seriel port is available.

RampagePlus/MC 286

The most powerful expanded memory/multifunction board available for your
IBM(R) 286- or 386SX(TM)-based PS/2(R) computer. RampagePlus/MC 286 offers up
to 8 MB of memory that can be configured as expanded EMS 4.0, EMS 3.2 or
extended. So, you can use applications written for today's and tomorrow's
software environments. Additionally, serial and parallel ports can be added
with an optional piggyback card, saving valuable slots in your PS/2.

RampagePlus/MC 386

AST's RampagePlus/MC 386 lets you take full advantage of your IBM PS/2 386 or
i486(TM) high-performance, 32-bit data bus and extended memory addressing
capabilities. It adds up to 8 MB of parity-checked memory and optional
input-output functions in a single expansion slot.

AST has added the ASTEMM expanded memory manager to the RampagePlus/MC 386 to
provide support for EMS 4.0. This allows linear memory to be used as expanded
memory when running application programs such as Lotus(R) 1-2-3(R) or
operating environments such as Windows 2.0 or DESQview.

RampagePlus/MC 386 features easy installation and reconfiguration from the
keyboard, conforming to the IBM ADP (Adapter Description Program) standard.
User-friendly software guides you through standard IBM configuration choices
on your display, eliminating confusion and minimizing errors.

Now you can reach the full potential of your 386- or i486-based Micro Channel
Architecture and Matched Memory Cycle capabilities.

Optional I/O is available on a piggyback card.

Rampage PC

Designed for 8088/8086 ISA computers, Rampage PC delivers up to 2 MB of
expanded memory for increased performance and productivity.

Rampage PC's Split Memory Addressing(TM) fills conventional memory to 640 Kb,
and simultaneously adds the remaining Rampage PC memory as expanded memory.
This allows you to add an AST Rampage PC board to your system without fully
populating your conventional memory with other memory boards.

Increase your Computer's Functionality with SuperPak(TM) Software Included
with every Rampage is AST's SuperPak utility software.Allowing you even more
functionality out of your computer, SuperPak includes SuperDrive(TM),
SuperSpool(TM) and fASTdisk(TM). SuperDrive and fASTdisk are both emulation
software products that allow you to use your system as you would use a disk.
SuperDrive emulates a floppy disk. fASTdisk allows you to create a virtual
hard disk as large as your available system memory. SuperSpool is a software
print buffer that lets you run large print jobs, without interfering with the
work you're doing on the computer.
