Devices Provides Simultaneous Communications at Speeds Up to 9600 Baud

AST-FourPort/AT Plus(TM)
AST-FourPort/AT(TM)
AST-FourPort/MC(TM)

AST multiport communications boards present a reliable, cost-effective
connecting l serial devices to your IBM PC/XT/AT, compatibles and PS/2
computers.

Three different products are available to suit many multiuser environments.
Each serial port is individually configurable for communications at speeds up
to 9600 Baud, making them ideal for data acquisition, equipment monitoring and
other applications requiring more than two ports.

AST-FourPort/AT Plus

AST-FourPort/AT Plus adds four serial ports, eight serial ports if two cards
are used in the enhanced mode. This means that a total of six or ten ports can
be supported in this mode. In the compatible mode, the first two ports of the
AST-FourPort/AT Plus become COM1 and COM2. The other ports are then COM3 and
COM4. Each port is individually addressable and configurable.

AST-FourPort/AT Plus allows you to configure your PC with 1 to 10 data buffers,
each capable of supporting up to 4Kb of memory per buffer. FourPort/AT Plus
includes development tools in Assembler, C, FORTRAN, PASCAL and BASIC. The most
recent versions of SCO XENIX(TM) and DOS(R) are also supported.

AST-FourPort/AT

The AST-FourPort/AT is intended for customers who do not require DOS or XENIX
support. This is the same product as described above except that the software
drivers, cables and documentation are not included. Developers of custom
operating systems or users of PICK(TM) and Concurrent DOS will find that this
product fits their needs perfectly.

AST-FourPort/MC

Add up to eight serial ports to your IBM PS/2 Micro Channel(TM) or compatible
computer with the AST-FourPort/MC. Two FourPort/MC boards can be installed in
one system to give a total of eight additional ports. Installation is easy with
a menu-driven configuration program. Addressing, interrupt requests, baud
rates, etc. are all software configurable. DTE/DCE interface can be selected on
board. Each port is individually addressable and configurable including full
modem support with baud rates up to 9600 baud. Software diagnostics and ADF
files are included.
