DTSEA122.EXE is the self extracting Seagate Disk Technician Program.

ALLFILES.ZIP is all the files it creates, including the documentation for the program.
I zipped these together after I extracted the DTSEA122.EXE to my drive. The DTSEA122.EXE
expects to be run from a 1.2MB or 1.44MB floppy but will also run from a hard drive.
Disk Technician runs in DOS, not Windows.

I suggest you read the manual.doc file prior to using The Disk Technician as it will
help you understand the consequences of using this. Disk Technician is a field service
tool for testing your older Seagate hard drive and it does DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. That means
that any data on the disk will get deleted in the process of testing during the surface
testing of the platters on the drive. If you have stuff on your disk that you want to
keep then back it up prior to using the Disk Technician.

All the files that the self-extracting DTSEA122.EXE creates are in the included file ALLFILES.ZIP
so that you can look at them prior to using the self extracting file. When you run the file
DTSEA122.EXE it will put the Disk Technician files on the root of the drive it is extracted
to and create a /SETTINGS directory . The following files are extracted to the root directory.
************************************************************************************************
DT_SEA.EXE - The Disk Technician Program
DT_GOLD.SYS - A driver that you can load in your config.sys to monitor your drive after you run
----------------------------------------
CONFIG.SYS with the following commands

@dt_sea
----------------------------------------
SETTINGS.BAT with the following commands

MANUAL.DOC the manual, suggest that you at least do a look-thru prior to using DT
README.DOC program history information

Everything else extracts to the /SETTINGS directory.
